Born from a family full of architects.

In the 1960s, Gilles' grandfather, one of the three founders, opened his own office as an enthusiastic architect. With that, his grandfather laid the foundation for what would later become a true family tradition in architecture.

Then both his father and uncle followed in his footsteps and each established their own office. Gilles' mother, also an architect, joined his father in their office in Knokke-Heist. Architecture became a daily topic of conversation at their home.

Initially, he followed a different path and chose to study civil engineering, but the architecture DNA remained. When he saw how his family managed their projects with endless Excel sheets and emails, he thought it could be done differently so they could finally find more peace. Together with Gauthier and Fréderic, Buildhive was formed: born from a real family story, built with technology, to help architects and construction professionals work together smarter.
